Chilli Chicken: Chinese cuisine ( alternative for vegetarians )Also a shout-out to everyone

Welcome to Little Chef’s Apron!

This post is very special to me as Little chefs apron just hit 100 followers!!! And 500 likes 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳 I am very greatful for all the support and motivation I got from all of you. I am very glad for all the likes and the comments. Thank you so much everyone…

Today we’ll make something that is a delicious recipe of Chinese cuisine. It is absolutely delish for non vegetarians but I do have an alternative for vegetarians that is equally good.

The chicken:

Ingredients:

500 g boneless chicken

1/4 cup corn flour

1/4 cup all purpose flour

1 tsp pepper and salt according to your taste

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

Directions:

. First, wash the chicken and add it to a bowl. Then add the ginger garlic paste and the seasoning.

. Mix this properly and then coat this with corn flour and maida thoroughly.

. Let this marinate for 20-30 minutes so that the chicken is not bland from the inside.

. Then fry these one by one in medium hot oil till they turn golden brown. They should have a nice coating on them or else the effect of chilli chicken would be lost.

. I fry 5-6 pieces at once but you can do as much as you are comfortable with.

. Then remove them in a plate lined with tissue paper.

The sauce:

Capsicum ,onion chopped

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

2 tbsp butter/oil

2 tbsp chilli sauce

2 tbsp pasta sauce

1 green chilli finely chopped

2 tbsp tomato purée ( store bought or homemade)

Coriander for garnish

Salt and pepper as per your taste

Directions:

. First, fry the ginger and garlic in the butter and let the raw smell go away. Then add the vegetables in it.

Once they are fried for 2 minutes , add the sauces and then add a little water to thin it out.

. After adding the seasoning , keep it aside.

. In a bowl add the chicken and then the sauce over it. Mix it thoroughly. Then garnish it with pepper and a hint of coriander.

Alternative:

. For vegetarians you can always use paneer cut cubes or French fries. It is an equally good combination.
