Chocolate chip cake with a flip of ganache bake!

Welcome to Little Chef’s Kitchen! A few days ago I wanted to get out of the study table and into the kitchen.

I have been getting a ton of schoolwork and wanted a change at the same time, small for a break.

This recipe was truly easy to make and utterly delicious. It did not take much time at all and before I knew it, I was eating the cake! Lets us get on with the recipe. I made a smaller cake than usual and used the 5 inch pan instead of the regular 6 inch.

Ingredients required:

1/3 cup +2 tbsp granulated sugar

1/3 cup curd

1/4 cup oil

3/4 tsp vanilla essence

3/4 cup flour

1/4 tsp baking soda

3/4 tsp baking powder

2-3 tbsp milk

1/4 cup chocolate chips

1/2 cup milk chocolate(coverture/compound)

1/3 cup fresh cream

Directions:

First, whisk together sugar ,oil and vanilla.

Then add the curd and mix it well. Make sure that the sugar is dissolved and the lumps of curd are gone.

Place a sieve over this and sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda into the wet ingredients.

Slowly, combine the ingredients with the help of milk if needed. The batter should not be that flowy as then the chocolate chips would settle down. Keep the batter a little thick that falls of the spatula in batches.

Add the chocolate chips in the batter and fold gently.

I lined my tin with oil and parchment paper but you could use flour too if you want. Add the batter evenly.

Then, bake it in a pre heated oven at 180 degree C for 30 minutes. If needed it could take less or more time depending on your oven.

Warm some cream in a pan but make sure it does not burn. Pour it over chopped chocolate. Stir it well until the chocolate melts. Let it sit at room temperature for 30 minutes.

After the cake is baked, let it cool down completely before frosting or the ganache would melt.

Spread the ganache over the de molded, cooled cake and sprinkle some chocolate chips!

I hope you guys enjoyed this recipe and don’t forget to let me know your suggestions in the comments!

If you have any requests, let me know!

See you all in the next post. Until then , Happy baking!

I.e., better to experience life than to spend too much time in the books. That said, my library is full of books, most of which I have read, some I have not, and a few I never will. But always take breaks and live your life!
