Cheesy fries for beginners : very easy

Welcome to Little Chef’s Apron! Today we’ll make a combination of the two things we dearly love. This recipe is very easy to make and is incredibly delicious. So follow through and cook along!

The French fries

Ingredients:

4-5 normal sized potatoes

2 tbsp corn flour

2 tbsp all purpose flour

1 tsp salt

Pan full of oil

2 cups cold water

1 tsp spices( cumin powder, salt, pepper, oregano, chilli flakes.)

Directions:

. First, peel the potatoes and cut them into slices.

. Cut each slice into almost 1/2 a cm size into long sized French fries.

. Then, add the cold water in a bowl and transfer the cut potatoes in it. Let it soak for about 5 minutes. This ensures in a crunchier and tastier French fry.

. Then add the corn flour , salt, and all purpose flour into a bowl and give it a good mix. Here I’m using weikfield corn flour.

. Then transfer the potatoes to a cloth for all the water to dry out and let it sit for 1 minute.

. Now, add this into the flour mixture and make sure that each one is coated properly.

. Take a pan and pour oil in it. Let it get hot on high flame for 5 minutes.

. Add half of the potatoes and let it fry till it’s golden brown. Keep stirring in between to make sure that it doesn’t burn.

Fry it with this kind of spatula. It will help in releasing excess oil.

. Add the second batch and fry them . Transfer these into a plate with a tissue paper to soak the oil.

. Prepare the coating of spices and masalas. This is where you get creative and you can make any flavouring you want. Here I am using tsp of cumin powder, pepper, salt, chilli flakes, oregano.

. Coat the French fries properly in this mixture .

Cheese and assembly

Ingredients:

1 cup grated mozzarella cheese

I tsp sauce of your choice

1/2 tsp oregano

Directions:

. Grate the cheese and keep it aside.

. Take a bowl of any shape and grease it with oil. Transfer the fries into this and on top of it the cheese.

. Bake this in a pre heated oven at 190* for 5- 6 min . The cheese should be slightly brown but also in a liquid consistency. Garnish it with

oregano and sauce.
